Query: A London, Ontario Choral organization required a website to promote and communicate events to members and the public.

Solution: MLD designed a Content Management System allowing users with varying access rights to login for information pertaining to them. Administrative members can login and edit their website content without having to rely on an outside programmer. Members can login to communicate and receive notices about upcoming rehearsals and events. The result is a self-sustained website that features an online community for members, and also serves as a marketing tool for the public.

Query: A non-for-profit organization in London, Ontario required an application to track volunteers and caseloads.

Solution: An Access database (desktop application), allowing users to manage volunteer contact information, caseloads and reports. Users can instantly view current and new 'sister' matches at their fingertips and print caseloads, statistical reports and waiting lists.

Query: The Canadian Rotarian Centennial Afghanistan Challenge is a year-long, public awareness campaign and partnership between the Canadian Government and Rotary Canada. A school has been built in Afghanistan for 4000 boys and girls and the campaign encourages high school students to learn about the school and Afghan culture through the website and through Rotary presentations.

Solution: An educational website, which serves as a marketing tool to promote the campaign. A login component through SharePoint was added for Rotarians to track presentation dates and communicate internally.

Technology: Custom PHP web-application

Query: The Retired Teachers of Ontario required applications to handle event management, tour bookings and member registrations.

Solution: Two customized Access desktop databases were created. The first was a Membership Registration and Tour Booking Database, allowing users to manage contacts and tour participants. The database tracks payment details, wait lists, special requests and more. A second Event Management Database was later developed to help this group manage their annual event with multiple workshops. Special features include mail merges, labels, the ability to export and import files from Outlook, Excel and more.

Query: Canadian Customs and Revenue required an application to manage CPP and EI appeals.

Solution: A criteria driven database was created to manage the process of tracking CPP and EI appeal applications. Features include lists of applicants and letters sent, mail merging and more.

Query: A London, Ontario insurance company required an overhaul to an existing MS Access database to meet their changing needs. A variety of dealers needed access to company resources and efficient workflows.

Solution: This online database includes a powerful array of intricate back-end calculations retrieving insurance premiums on a case by case basis. Combined with a simplified and intuitive front end, IWS can now sit comfortably with the notion that all paperwork is unified electronically by this powerful and resourceful engine.

Query: A Niagara-based Therapeutic Riding facility required a website for marketing and informational purposes. The owner wants to be able to manage and edit website content. As the business grows, the site needs the ability to adapt.   

Solution: MLD designed a Joomla! Content Management System allowing administrative users to login and edit website content without having to rely on an outside programmer. The site also contains PDF forms, which prospective clients can download. The result is a self-sustained website that serves as a marketing tool for the public. As the business grows the site can be adapted to allow different types of login access (members, forums, etc.)

Query: The Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians required a web solution that would combine their marketing, communication and data management goals.

Solution: MLD Solutions created a multipurpose website with the following functionality:

1. marketing/branding site for the public  (Content Management System, allowing site administrators to manage their own content)
2. Internal communication/resource tool for members (SharePoint resource for document sharing and communication forums)
3. password-protected, online database for tracking First Nation health records.
